An intimate look at “EU KALYPTOS”, Greek for well covered, referring to the caps which protect the developing flowers of gum trees. These little icons, jettisoned when the flowers open, come in an astonishing array of shapes, colours and sizes.

About The Event

These important symbols of eucalyptus trees are almost never noticed, until now! This personal exploration of eucalyptus also pays homage to the bark of the eucalyptus tree, an ever changing palette, pattern and texture showcased in an extraordinary series of grand photographic canvases. 

Biography

Murray’s images have been published in books, magazines and calendars. A book of his wildlife photographs was published by Reed in 2007 and in 2014 Murray was shortlisted for ANZANG Nature Photographer of the Year. This is Murray’s third solo exhibition. Murray lives in Gawler, South Australia, but travels widely.
