Gawler Art Prize
Gawler Art Prize is a bi-annual prize that celebrates creativity in Gawler and beyond in South Australia.
The Gawler Art Prize returns in October 2026 as the region’s premier biennial art award, showcasing the talent and imagination of South Australian artists. With a first prize of $5,000, proudly sponsored by the Town of Gawler, this acquisitive award ensures the winning artwork becomes part of the town’s cultural collection.
Artists are invited to submit one original work across a wide range of mediums, including painting, drawing, photography, mixed media, and sculpture.
Open exclusively to South Australian residents, the competition welcomes both gallery members and
non-members, with entry fees starting at just $10 for gallery concession members.
