This competition is open to all South Australian residents, irrespective of whether they are a member of the gallery or not.

One entry per artist is permitted.
The winner of the last Gawler Art Prize held, may not enter the following year it is held.
No artworks previously entered in any Gawler Art Prize, may be submitted.
Only original artworks that are for sale may be entered.
By entering you agree to your artwork being used to promote this years' Gawler Art Prize, and should you win, to promote the Gawler Art Prize next time it is held.

Artwork Price

Short Artist Bio. Tell us a little about yourself as an artist. You might include information about your artistic practice, experience, exhibitions, awards or similar. Please keep your bio to approximately 50–100 words.

Artist Statement Tell us about your work. You might like to include what inspired the work, the ideas or themes behind it, and any techniques or materials you have used. Please keep your statement to approximately 100–200 words.

By submitting my entry, I confirm that I agree to all conditions of entry as outlined on the gallery website. I understand & accept that gallery duty is a compulsory requirement of entry, and I agree to be rostered on for 2 shifts during the exhibition. Newbies will receive onboarding training.
